Talking

Hi again.
I went to court today, judge ruled that I have sole physical and legal custody of Dorian and that he has no overnights, he told me to never talk to him again(again).
Anyway,I have to file for show of cause for alimony.Your professional opinion, should I be nice a send a certified letter to him stating that I would be willing to get 25.00
a week and give him a receipt, that he has certain number of days to reply, if money isn't given on certain day, I will go petition the court for court ordered support, need your help, want to try to do it without my lawyer-it wouldn't be hard would it?thanks again.

My response:

Well, I'm glad to read that you got what you wanted.

No, letters are useless. You need to go back to court on an Order to Show Cause Re: Child and Spousal Support. It needs to be ordered. And now.

Stop giving this joker any chances. Stop giving him any slack. He's already shown he's untrustworthy, and the only way you'll have any protections of the law is with a court order in your hands.

Good luck, and buy a book on the subject.

re:back from court

Hello,
IAAL, you are the man! I am so glad I found this forum,it has helped a lot. You are right, he is untrustworthy, and I have trying to be "nice", but that doesn't work in the aspect of getting the money. thank u again, your expertise has helped me alot. Then after telling me not to talk to him, he just called and wanted me to call him back about visitation on wednesday, and apologized for having deputy remove him from waiting area after court and being loud
and throwing a tantrum, actually I thought he wouldn't call for about a week, but aren't I the lucky one. Wednesday should be fun, he always has to have last word. once again, thanks for reading all this and tomorrow I will go down to courthouse and file a order.
