**A: yes, not only can your family file charges against him but the NY/NJ/DC police can also file separate charges against him, the FBI can hunt him down, his story will be featured on America's Most Wanted and both of you will be on national tv with handcuffs crying in front of millions of tv viewers. When he is locked up in Federal prison in a different State such as Alaska and you put on house arrest and probation in NY, you may never get to see him again. You could always email him though, like you have been. So have a nice life. And make sure you have your hair combed and your makeup on when the camera crew arrives.
