Inherited debtWhat is the name of your state? MA Having recently been married, I'm wondering if my spouse and I are legally obliged to carry the others debt if one of us dies. By debt, I mean seperate credit cards, etc. that are not jointly owned. If so, is there any stipulation we can put in our will that prevents the other from carrying the burden of unpaid debt. |
