Just Married In Louisiana, Live In TNWhat is the name of your state? Tennessee Just Married In Louisiana, Live In TN We got married on a whim last Friday. After we got home I found out LA is a community property state. Anyone know: If the state you live in dictates the legal parameters of the marriage or the state you are married in? In other words, are we bound (for tax reporting or divorce proposes) by the laws of LA or TN? As well, if bound by LA, how the heck do we change it to TN!!! |

| The state where you live.
