Question

Leaving Home

What is the name of your state? North Carolina

I have a seventeen year old friend who has already run away once from home. She came back home willing when she ran away last time. Her parents put out a warrant for her arrest last time when she ran away. She is planning on running away again. She has told me that in NC the second time she runs away the police can't do anything about it. I have tried to talk her out of it, but she knows her situation better than I. What I am asking is if what she has told me is true? Can she run away again without consequences from the law?

Does anybody have a answer to this question? Any help to disuade my friend would be helpful. If you could tell me if that what has been told to her is untrue that would also be helpful. If it is true then I need to know that too. Please help me with this. I do not want my friend getting into major trouble. Please respond ASAP. Thanks alot for any help given.

If her parents want her back home the police will continue to bring her back home until she is 18.
