What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NJ
My boyfriend and I were going together for 5 years. We had a house together in PA and sold it and moved back to NJ. We are in the house one year and he just left. He said I have to sell the house. I don't have money for another house and I don't want my son to have to change schools again.
He is a freshman in HS. Do I have any options or do I have to sell and find an apartment? How long will I have to find something? Does he have to pay half the mortgage until I find something?

Your post was not clear.

I will therefore assume that you and he own a house in NJ. If he will not sign it over to you, hire a lawyer and do a forced sale (partition) lawsuit. If you want to keep it, you can bid on it at the courthouse steps when it is sold. (So can he or me too if I wanted to move to NJ.)
