| | | | Left my boyfriend after eight years and have child together What is the name of your state?IL
I left my boyfriend after eight years together and out of that eight years we had a child in 2000. My ex-boyfriend and I just didnt get along anymore so we decided to go our seprate ways.
I moved out with my children (one of which is his) and got a home and have a stable enviornment for my children. We both work full time at pretty decent jobs.
He has our son on Tuesday nights and Thursday nights and everyother weekend but we have no legal order.
I want him in my sons life and am very happy he wants to be a part of his life but he feels he shouldnt have to pay me anything for child support since he has him "that much" as he says. He feels I should pay child support.
Should I just take it as it comes for the time being and then once I get a lawyer to get documentation of our parenting agreement go for child support or can I go ahead and have Department of child support put an order in? |

| | | | In Alabama, the parent that doesn't have physical custody is the one who pays the child support. That parent can also be made to pay up to two years of back child support. It doesn't matter if you were married or not. | |
