| Hi im steffanie and i live in massachusetts i have been having problems in my family but theyre not serious its just me and my parents dont get along i was just wondering what the legal age was to leave your house?? i heard it changed to 17 but im not sure and if its not 17 i dont want to be a runaway....whats the legal age to leave your house?? |

| My response: You can legally leave your house, without permission, on your 18th birthday. Before that, you're still under the thumb of your parents. The age of 17 is for something else, of which I will not discuss with you - - because you are a minor. IAAL |
