Legal Marriage?

What is the name of your state? CO

I just finished going through a divorce process that lasted about three- four years. My marriage lasted five years from start to finish. I just recently found a copy of my marriage license from that marriage and discovered that the marriage certificate was never signed by any official or witnesses. The only signatures on there are mine and my ex-spouse's. No one ever caught this mistake, even though we signed these papers in front of the county clerk. Is there anything that can be done? Can I sue the county or state for not catching this? I basically went through four years of hell with lawyers because of this womean, and it turns out that I may have never been married to her to begin with. Please help!!!!!

have you gone to the courthouse or county registrar to look at the original marriage certificate to see if it is fully signed?
