My response:

No. Your marriage is valid. Your husband married a "person", not a "name". People have "aka" names, or nick-names. Using an AKA name doesn't invalidate anything.

My response:

Oh, boy. Let me try to further explain this to you. When actors change their names, and they sign contracts using their "stage name", does that mean the contract is invalid? No.

You know the following actors by their "stage names" - -

Who is - -

Marion Morrison?

Cassius Clay?

Demetria Guynes?

Reginald Dwight?

Sofia Scicolone?

So, when the any of the above persons sign ANYTHING using their "stage names" (some are dead, so they can't sign anything) it's the PERSON, not the "name" that counts. Using whatever name, as long as that person sets ink to paper, the contract or whatever is VALID!

My response:

Thanks, Hex. I was trying to get the writer to answer, because I was trying to make a point. We all know that you know.

Anyway, Demetria Guynes is Demi Moore.

You should have used your legal name on the marriage license. But it doesn't matter at this point, you now have another legal name and that's your married name. Case closed.

IAAL - I didn't know Sofia Scicolone was Sofia Loren?
And who IS Demetria Guynes? The others I knew!

My response:

That's funny!

The name of the play has been renamed to "Waiting for LostandFound".
