lent someone money


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

victoria AUSRTALIA- i borrowed someone money but they wont pay back,
can i take them to court? or get a lawyer to write a letter to see if they want to settle out of the court? what can i do.

Convince them to move to the US and file in cmall claims court?
