lived together for 21 years

undefinedWhat is the name of your state? Michigan
been living with a guy for 21 years and not married. Was asked to leave
the house and now I can't get my belongings. I have 21 years of belongings at the house that he refuses to let me come and get. He said he could bring them to me. After years of accumulating stuff it would take months to sort through the many items we have together. Help-what do I do?
also I have not worked in 5 years because of my daughters health.

You have no intrinsic rights to anything you cannot prove is your property by either receipts or his acknowledgement.

As to the child, is it his also?

Then, since Michigan does not recognize common law marriage you ONLY have the option to file for child support at this time and let a judge sort out the other property issues.

One thing you did not tell us is whose name is on the deed?

His name is on the deed. I sold my home which I rented for years a couple of years ago. Profits from my house went into his home for decks, landscaping
and front porch.

Then he should thank you for the gifts. You have no legal claim to HIS home.
