locating a child


What is the name of your state? texas I need to know if there are steps I can take to find out the welfare of a little girl who has had no contact with her grandparents in over a year.She is in her mothers custody and yesterday the grandmother recieved returned Christmas presents un-opened .This is worrying this grandmother because of the history of the childs mother.She may not even be with the mother by now so is there a way of just finding out if the child is ok? the little girl is 10 yrs old.please help us if you can.

All I can think of is to hire a PI. Sorry.

Momma_tiger,that is what I think too.It is hard for Grandparents to find out anything and all most of them want is to know their grandbabies are safe.Thank you for your time.

If there is concern or a suspicion by the grandparent that this mother (her daugher) may not be fit to give care to her 10-year-old child, there may be some resources available through several state services to assist in this matter. Returned x-mas presents, along with other history that may point to an unfavorable outcome for the child, might constitute a valid concern for authorities. The police department can be contacted to determine who, if anyone, may be able to help with these concerns. That is not to say that a PI may not be of benefit, also. It's just to say that you may get some help otherwise, too.
