Our marriage license expired three days before our wedding and no one, us included, realized it. The county and state both accepted and filed our marriage. As far as I can tell, our marriage is valid, but do we need to go to court to have it declared valid?

The officiant should not have performed the ceremony with an expired license. The easiest solution would be to get another license and have a judge perform the ceremony immediately.
