marriage to a man with large debt to state

i live in maine. i am considering marrying a man who owes over 60,000 for back child support. if we marry can i be legally obligated to pay or have a lien on my home (all property is in my name only.

But, is this the type of life you want to lead ?

You know he's going to get caught and spend time in jail for this - - eventually it happens to all Deadbeat Dads. And, if he can cheat his own child, his own flesh and blood, guess what he'll do to you someday.

Additionally, if when he does get caught, don't you think this is going to impact you also ? Is it really worth it ?

If you tell him you're worth more than all of this, tell him to get his "house in order" first.
