What is the name of your state? Virginia

I got out of the Marine Corps back in 1991. I got hurt while I was in. I was released at my end of contract. I was not released due to my injury. I do receive a pension from the VA due to my injury. I recently had neck surgery, all due to my service injury, and am being considered for an increase in my disability rating from the VA.

Is it too late to request to be medically retired from the military? I have always wished I would have pushed for a medical discharge but they misdiagnosed me to begin with.

I hope someone has some advice.

Thank you,
