I lived ten years with a man as husband and wife, everyone thought we were married.
This past September he found someone(online she was getting an insuranc e settlement)

In september I received an insurance settlement from Geico due to car accident in the spring, I hurt my back had whiplash and suffered. When i received the check he deposted in his bank.
right before he moved out I asked what happened to the money in the account, he replied I paid off some bills (yeah his) I didnt think anything of it becuase we got along extremely well.
needless to say he then moved out one day when I was at work he said he couldnt give anymore, he needed to be alone. at that point i asked for my money from insurance and he said it was his becuase he paid for the insurance
he moved back to the house we (I) purchased before we moved to florida( she moved in the next week)I put 10,000.00 down on his house
What can I do, also I received an email from him from his employers email account , when I opened the attachement in it it was a slide show of every website that I had visted that morning. I contacted microsoft and they said he had a program that could hack my computer. SHould I contact his company It department its a HUGE company here they would be unhappy.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am broke and I need to recoup the money he has taken. Thank yout is the name of your state? florida

by the way he is on number 5 now the ones beofre me also had money

Did you endorse the check before he deposited into his account?
If you did, you may be out of luck. Florida does not have any common law marriage statutes, so nothing is available to you under family law.

You should get a consult with an attorney to find out if taking him to regular civil court is a viable option for you. You can get a low cost consult by calling the Florida Bar Lawyer Refferal Service at 1-800-342-8011.
