minor car accident

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

I dropped off my l7 year old at a sleepover. She left the sleepver, got into someone's car and was injured in a car accident. She refuses to disclose the name of the person whose car she was in. She incurred a broken jaw. Who is responsible for the hospital bills if we don't know whose car she was in?

My response:

Most assuredly, with these types of injuries, there had to be a Traffic Collision Report written by the police. Order a copy. Your answers are in the Report.

Ask the parents of the house she was staying at. They should know who your girl left with.

l7 year old in car accident

Parents of the girl stated that they didn't know our daughter left. We don't even know where the car accident was--whether it was even in this state. We don't know if the police were called or if the driver just drove away. All we have is a date and an approximate time. Thanks everyone! Any other ideas?

If you have no idea where the accident happened, and your daughter is being completely uncooperative, suck it up and pay the bills yourself.

I'm assuming you called the local authorities and inquired, correct?

Bill is $9500 so far--hard to "suck up." Does anyone know whether the person who's house she was supposed to be at is liable for injuries since my daughter is a minor? Thank you--I thought this was a legal advice forum.

I'd tell the kiddo she can pony up the name or she can be paying y'all back for the medical work.

Why would the parents at the slumber party be liable? Your daughter left of her own free will. You need to place the blame where it belongs. Your daughter is covering for someone, and as long as she does you are responsible for paying her bills.
