Moving

What is the name of your state? California

I am pregnant and the father and I have split up. I am thinking about relocating to another state. Can he stop me and will I be breaking any laws?

My response:

Unless and until that child is born alive in the State of California, he can do nothing to stop you from leaving California. You are free to move to anywhere you like, at any time.

You can move to East Africa if you choose to - - just as long as you do so before the child is born.

Are you married?

that might change things a bit-
On the assumption that you are not-nope, he can't keep you from moving while pregnant and you are not breaking any laws that I know of-
not an attorney though-might want to consult one after the baby is born about support/visitation/custody-
good luck
