My aunt and uncle want custody, I don't know what to do!

I am 16 years old and am currently living with a friend. About 2 weeks ago I was kicked out of my home. In the past there has been drug use in the home between my step father and I, there still is, but only by my step father now. I have been in a foster home, and in and out of treatment centers for suicidal ideations. I have been on and off antidepressants,and have slipped majorly in my schooling. I have tried sooo hard to get out of the bad enviroment and not become the kind of people my parents are. I am to be certified for my Nurse Aid license in a week here, I have chosen not to go home despite my mothers plees. My aunt and uncle in Minnesota want to take me in. That would be a totaly different enviroment, totaly postive and everything I need. My mother wants nothing more then to keep me here and keep playing games with me. My Bio father lives in Minnesota too, he is in and out of jail so yea..thats not good either..what should i do?? I am thinkn that im just gonna go ahead and go, but i dont know what my mom is going to do..

If you have a postive environment waiting for you, Go. It won't be easy, but if your aunt and uncle are willing to take you in, you should give it a try. Being that their home is different from yours, it'll be hard, but hang in there.

You don't need a negative environment.

Bad advice. Mom can report the OP as a runaway, and the aunt and uncle can get in major trouble for harboring a runaway.

If this is going to be attempted. Then the aunt and uncle (if they have standing in OP's state) need to petition for custody.

Well now my moms telling me to just go, im not sure if this is going to stick or not. im planning to finish my school finals here in 10 days and ill be on my way...HOPEFULLY..I just dont want her to start something when im already up there and i all of a sudden have to come back down. But if i get a job at the hospital in brainerd mn, since im a CNA now...ill make good money and ill be suporting myself and going to school..could i stay up there and fight if that were to happen??
