Question

My Girlfriend

casa_nava@hotmail.com
My problem is that my girlfriend is 14 years old and her parents are not alowing us to see one another. I am 17. We have been together for 6 months now and 5 of those months we were living together. Everything was good up untill about a week ago when her mom decided that we were too seriouse. Theres nothing else to the story. My question is is there any way that we could be together regardless of her mothers opinion. Or is there any state that has a low enough age limit for us to get married. Theres much more to the situation which concerns family problems which she has that are unhealthy. This is a very seriouse matter to me in which i am very concerned about. If anyone has any information that they would share with me then please reply.
Thanx.

Let me make this perfectly clear, this 14 year old is a baby. I don't know how you were able to live together for 5 months but the parents have total control on matters concerning their 14 year old daughter.
Also keep in mind you will soon be 18 and considered an adult. Now unless you want to spend the next 5-10 years in prison I strongly suggest you re-evaluate this relationship with this child.
The choice is yours and the ball is in your court, now is the time to make some life changing decisions. I am sure you will not like the one's the court will make.

Freedom or incarceration, Duh!!!!!!!!

Hope you make the right choice...

Well, I know she is 14, Soon she will be 15 and I'll be 18. Thats 3 years, also keep in mind some people do mature faster than others. How would I end up in prison? Her mom couldnt file rape charges on me because she alowed it to happen, also the girl is old enough to speak for herself, the prosicuting attorney would ask if it was mutual, it was of coarse and she would tell them that, also the fact the her mom let us live together would'nt exactly help her case. I also know that it is a new generation but it is still possible for people to love each other at a younger age and stay together. Anyways thanx alot for the info.

Get up a dictionary and look up "statutory rape". Then look up your state age of consent laws. There's probably a pretty big chance she is not old enough to consent. Gets more serious after you turn 18. And then you have to look up court procedure in your state to see if she's even old enough to take the stand in your defense. Would her parent/guardian consent to that?

Then, even if you could get a note from her mommy that she's consented to let you have sex with her daughter, there's still contributing of the delinquency of a minor, lewd and lascivious acts against a minor, etc.

In retrospect, when I was that young, I thought my boyfriend was the love of my life and I would find a way around the marriage age laws. THANK GOD they have laws or I'd be livin' in a trailer barefoot and ig'nant....

For both of your sakes, WAIT!!!!!!

Surprise, surprise, in almost all states a 14 year old (and in many states a 15 year old) is not legally able to consent to sex. Having sex with a girl that age is by definition statutory rape. It being consensual does not matter one whit.

I have no legal advice on this as it has been pretty much stated...I have a 14 year old sister and a 14 year old sister-in-law..and although they are mature for their ages...they are NO WAY emotionally prepared for a "consentual" sexual relationship...please state your name and address so that the mothers and fathers of this site will be sure to steer their daughters far and wide from you.
As for the Mother allowing this for 6 months...doesn't matter now she's stopping it...and while daughter is a minor she must abide by her rules.

your crazy boy,...... your asking for trouble. all you need is a pi$$ed off parent and your off to jail...... and just try taking her off to another state to get married then you have kidnapping charges on top of that, taking a minor across state lines is a very serious offence... if you dont watch it, the state may step in and make there own charges against you. some states like texas do not need parental permission to charge against you, and if was me, I would also get the mother for letting you two live together... your in serious deep doo doo is she gets pregnant or the mother gets in her right mind and decides to hold you accountable... if the mother says to back off, then do that, back off. bow out gracefully wait till she's of age, then date... or find someone who is not jail bait.. like they say.... "15 will get you 20.. 14 may get your more"

no you may not be, but if statatory rape is on your record, how will you prove that to future employers, your future wife, your kids,... In texas you have to register as a sex offender for the rest of your life(not sure about other states)... people make you move out of their neighborhoods, make life miserable for you... are you willing to sacrafice all for this girl? and when you answer, think with the right anatomy part... dont throw away your life its not all worth it... sorry if I sould like i'm coming on strong, dont intend to sound like a *itch. I'm not, I just dont like to see kids screw up...
