Name change

What is the name of your state? California

I have a question regarding Name change process for non US Citizen

I am on a L2 visa with EAD (non US Citizen & no green card), and living here since last 5 years. I would like to change my last name to my husband's last name and also a minor spelling correction in my First name.

Is it possible to change my name through the court in California ? Or do I have to do this only through my home country ?
