I recently got married in Missouri. I have not legally changed my name yet. Am I legally Mrs. (my husbands name)? Should I be able to cash checks with the name Mrs. John Smith on them?

You could but why? Just wait until you get your name change. Sometimes, they may want to see your I.D. and your marriage cert.
