What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TN
I want to remove my maiden name/parents name from my birth certificate and all other legal documents. They have "disowned" me after my divorce (long story). How do I do this?

thanks

You cannot remove your parents from your birth certificate unless someone legally adopts you as an adult. You can change your name, but your cannot remove theirs.

Give both yourself, and them some time to cool off before you take any drastic action.
