need a few questions answeredWhat is the name of your state? indiana My boyfriend and I recently split up. I decided to take our daughter to my father's house in Ohio so we could have a place to stay to find a new home of our own and to find a new job. My ex does not contest the move. The questions I have are: Is it illegal for me to take my daughter out of state? (I took her back to the state she was born in, if that matters) Do I automatically have custody because we were never married? Can he lawfully come take our daughter away from me if he decides he wants to be the one to raise her? Does he have to prove paternity before he can take/visit her? Will taking our child out of state come back to bite me if we go to court? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. |

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.
