I was born of artificial insemination from a sperm donor in 1987. My Father and Mother seperated when i was 8 and recently my father filed for divorce. While at court he made the fact known that i was not his biological daughter, and he did not want to pay for anything for me anymore, especially now that i'm in college. This was a confidential matter that did not need to be brought up, i just recently found out and i'm very hurt over the whole subject, that he does not consider me as his child and thinks he should have no obligation to me. The court ordered, that because of it he did not have to pay for my college and only pay child support till i'm 21 instead of until i graduate college. This whole situation to me doesn't sound right, since his name is on my birth certificate and has paid child support up till now, why should he be allowed to back out, and say i'm not his child. Is there anything my mother or i could do because we are not in a good finacial state and i'm paying for college. Thank you.What is the name of your state?

If the judge ruled that way, then unfortunately that the way it is, lots of people of modest means have to pay for their own education- and support themselves while in school to boot, be thankful that your mom will be getting the cs for the next two years....
