Need ILL laws to help get child support back, HELP

I need ILL laws (statues) to assist me in getting child support back. I went to the ILL general assembly webpage, The Parentage Act, it talked about if one is found not to be the father, the case would be dismissed, but I couldn't find anything on if you were paying support and the child is found not to be yours, are you entitled to collect this money. If anyone was any info, please direct me to the website, Thanks

Did you look under paternity on the search engine? Now I've looked myself for this. You might have to call the General Attorney, magistrate or DA about this. I know in some cases after you've proven with a DNA test that the child is not yours (you should also have the name removed off the birth certificate if it's on there) I've heard of people sueing the BM back for wrongful paid monies. Good Luck.

To Grace Adler and nailtech

Grace, thank you, I'll put a call in to them in the morning. I have already had my name removed from all birth records and military records and insurance. Its still not a good situation becasue he was named after me. Oh well!! Its just good to site court cases that have received a judgement when i return to court in a few days. Thanks again

nailtech, thanks I was reading the parentage act last night, maybe I missed it but I really didn't see anything about being reimbursed for support received fraudently. I printed it out and will take a closer look. Thanks again
