Unhappy

need to know

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland
Hello, I purchased my home 5 years prior to marriage. I left July 11th because my husband would not leave. I am still paying mortgage because the house is solely in my name. I can not afford to pay for a house for someone else to live in free when I am sleeping on a sofa at relatives. Can I get him removed or sell my home with him in it. I contacted police and they said I can not make him leave because we are married. This can't be true. What do I do?

You will have to follow the laws to evict him like any other tenant.

Sorry but no, he is her husband. Its the marital home. She has to file for divorce and temporary sole possession of the marital home. She would not be following the eviction laws.

If he was a boyfriend, rather than a husband, she would follow the eviction laws.
