need to move home 7 disability..

What is the name of your state? tn.
I have not worked for over 3 years due to health problems. I am visiting with my Sister & her Husband at this time in Al. they have offered to move me in with them. I am married in Tn. and want a legal seperation. I need to keep his insurance. Can I do this if he agrees? I also need to file for disability benefits when I move to AL. How do I do this? Is it legal?
