Need a Paternity TestI live in Ca, and I just had a baby. I am receiving public assistance, until I finish school. I was told that I could get a free paternity test, because I receive public assistance, is this true? Does anyone know? ![]() |

| Generally, if you are receiving public aid, you are not only allowed to but you are also required to name the father. If he contests paternity, then a test can be ordered. Contact your county court clerk's office to find out the procedure that you need to follow to get paternity established in your case. Best of luck to you! |
