my girlfriend and i have been together for 7 years.she had a 6 month old son from a high school relationship. the father was killed in a car accident before the baby was born so no father has ever been involved. i have helped raise this child both financially and emotionally. We now have a daughter together but we are seperating. i love and adore this child and feel i should somehow be able to get to be able to see him, especially since i will be having visitation with his sister (if not full custody). the mother is very bitter and using him to hurt me. do i have any rights in the state of michigan to be able to have scheduled visits with the child i have been a "father figure" to. please help!!!!

You were never married to this gal, so you were not this childs step parent?
