ny marriage

My husband received a divorce from his first marriage in July and we were married in August, we recently found out the divorce was not recorded by the court until that October, are we legally married.? We only recently discovered this and we have been married for 35 years . We live in NY.

Contact a family law attorney ASAP. You have certain rights as a spouse that you don't have as a live-in. Make sure you are covered.
