What is the name of your state? Oklahoma.

My 16 year old daughter insists that at age 17 she legally has the right to moved out of the house without parental permission. She states that this is Oklahoma law and for females only. I don't see how any minor can be on their own w/o emancipation. I would like to prove her wrong with something concrete.

Thank you,
Wendy

I don't know Oklahoma family law. But a better way to prove your point might be to let her do the work. Tell her she has to show you the law that says she CAN move out at 17, rather than you showing her one that says she CAN'T. It's often more convincing that way.
