Question

order of protection on a minor?

What is the name of your state? Alabama--
I have 2 step-daughters ages 14 and 15. I also have a 3 yr old son. I have had a lot of trouble w/ the step-daughters. My husband has custody of them and has had since 1997, but now the 15 yr old lives w/ her mother. She is the one that I've had the MOST trouble with. Since living w/ her mother for over a yr, she has been in a mental hospital 3x and she hates me and one of her counselors has even called me and told me that all she talks about is killing me and that she has dreams and visions of stabbing me. I choose not to be around her. My husband just thinks all of this was for attention, and it might be, but I don't want to take any risks, so I don't want to be around her and I don't want her around my son. Is there any way of getting an order of protection from her for me and my son, or at least just supervised visitation from a 3rd party to my son?
Also, the 14 yr old has caused a lot of mental abuse to me over these yrs and 3 incidents of physical abuse. She is about the same size as me. But, what are my rights about defending myself if it happens again. The other times, I just took it because I was afraid that if I laid a hand on her that it would be child abuse and risk going to jail and losing my son. Also, could I get an order of protection against her (in the event of divorce because she does live w/ us) for what has already happened eventhough I have no physical evidence of the incident. I wanted to call the cops on her but my husband wouldn't allow it.. long story.. but please help!!
