| | | | Out of state summons. What is the name of your state? Nevada
I am summoned to appear in court in new york on 11/26/02 for a custody hearing for a 12 year old child i only just found out was mine 6 mos. ago. I agreed to give up my rights so the person who has been raising him can adopt. I was told all i had to do was sign something for this to happen. As long as i am not contesting the custody, can i do it in the courts here in nevada? I cannot afford to fly to new york. |

| | | The subpoena issued by a court in New York has no standing against you in Nevada.
