over age dating

i am from oklahoma and a friend of mine who will be 17 in a few months is dating someone who is 22. people have told his mom if they don't quit seeing each other they will put him in jail. her mom knows and doesn't care about the age difference. i was wondering if someone could really throw him in jail?
