Palimony in Calif? Trying to get the gf out of my home. What is the name of your state? CA I have owned my home here in California for 6 years. 2 years ago, my girlfriend moved in. She has lived here rent free, not working (she was laid off her job prior to moving in), not contributing towards any bills (except for groceries here and there). She does have a part-time job, which she worked a couple months ago for a few weeks. I don't believe she's worked in the past 2 months. I pay her car payment, car insurance, medical insurance, dental insurance and support her family in Russia. Our relationship has ended and we have mutually decided to split. The problem is that she is in the guest bedroom and refuses to leave. I know that I will probably have to look into the landlord/tenant laws and proceed legally with a 3 Day Pay or Quit, 30 day notice, etc. Now she is threatening a palimony lawsuit. She is extremely well-versed in California law and believes she has a right to part of my home, vehicles, income, etc. My net worth is more than $1 million, so I am understandably concerned. Is it possible that she has some claim to my wealth, even though she has no agreement from me, no proof of any type of "marriage-like" arrangement, and cannot claim that I forced her to quit her job in order to clean the house, provide sex, etc.??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated? |

| Possible?? Absolutely.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

If you have a net worth of 1 million, then you have the means to consult with a local attorney and absolutely should. |

| I am planning on consulting with an attorney. I was hoping to get some insight from the board's collective wisdom. Anyone care to elaborate on their comments? |

| I know several people that are millionaires or multi-millonaires on PAPER, that couldn't get their hands on 2 dimes to rub together.

I know lots of posters to this forum that clearly have NO legal experience or knowledge... yet, still insist on posting their insipid droolings to this forum.
