| Parental Rights undefinedWhat is the name of your state? Texas.
My son will be 5 in November. His natural father lives in Missouri, has never seen the child, and not ever been in contact with him. He doesn't pay child support and has been in and out of prison in Missouri in the last 4 years.
I know now he has two children older than my son, neither does he pay child support for, though one does have a court order for child support. And he has another child on the way with another woman.
My question is, he has told me he would sign his rights over, give up parental rights. Do I have to have a lawyer, or can I have the paperwork sent to him and someone there (probably a courier) witness it, and send it back? I was trying to get it done while he was in prison again. |
