My partner has been legally separated separated from his wife for six years and we have been living together ever since. He wants us to buy a house together. If we do this and they eventually become divorced, can the woman stake claim to one third of the house we bought together in the divorce settlement?

Technically, it would be one-forth ... half of his half.

Why not get divorced now?
