| | | | paternity Hi this is grandma in NC. We go to court tomorrow about the paternity. My question is when we get the results back and find out that my son is not the father, does he have the right to receive the the money back that he paid to his ex in support for this child? |

| | | Technically yes - but it isn't always easy and may actually cost more in legal fees than the amount recouped. Sorry to come in on this story late and not have all the details but does he have legal representation or is he going it alone in this? If he has an attorney he needs to instruct his attorney that in the case that the child is NOT his he wants an immediate motion for repayment voiced in court that day**************..it may well be ordered by the judge on the spot**************.....
Best of luck
