| She's pregnant and in prison? Gee! Unless she is having an amniocentesis or CVS test for some other reason, and a DNA test could potentially be done at the same time, you will need to wait until birth to establish paternity. Each of these tests do carry some risk of miscarriage and a court will NOT compel a pregnant woman to have either JUST to get an early DNA test.

to nextwifeThank you for replying. I understand we can't get a paternity test until the baby is here. Were filing a Petition in Paternity so she knows and the prison knows that someone other than the boyfriend believes the child is his. I'm just noit sure if that's the correct place to start. Any ideas? thanks |
