paternity

What is the name of your state?
tennessee I have a situation that I am not sure how to deal with. In 1987 I married the girl I was seeing after she told me she was pregnant. I never questioned the paternity of the baby girl. my name is on the birth certificate. Soon after the marriage I learned of my wife's infidelity before and after the marriage. This is what led to our divorce. after the divorce she left the state and never gave me my visits that I was entitled to. In the 13 years that we have been divorced she has been married and divorced twice and fixing to get married again for the third time. she wouldn't let me bond with the girl since she wouldn't give me my visits. although all this time has passed I still think of her as the little girl she was before the divorce. and yes, I consider her mine. even though I have been denied access to her. now my situation gets more complicated, because my ex is taking me to court for back child support. she is the one in contempt of court for taking her away in the first place. I can't get back my visits with my daughter or her childhood and all the things I missed out on. the girl is now 17, and no one in my famiy believes she is mine. from the time she was born I had my doubts. It was never an issue because i thought I was going to be able to raise the girl and be a part of her life. I know legally that she is my responsibity, but what i was wanting to know is, since I am being taken to court over back pay, could I not have a dna test done to prove paternity. I wouldn't even consider it, except for the fact that I have been denied a child that might not be mine in the first place and now the girl is 17 and doesn't want anything to do with me. physically the child has never bore any resemblence to myself or her mother. ok, I just wanted to know what my options are. I know i will have to get an attorney. this will probaly get ugly.

on my previous post I was concerned about the back child support that wasn't paid because I didn't know the whereabouts of my children. there are two. but, now I am questioning the idea of dna testing to see if the last child, is really mine, so maybe I wouldn't have to pay child support on a child I never got to see, due to the mother's alienating the children from me, and on a child that might not be mine in the first place. I am being made a fool of.
