a question from wisconsin,
looking for any knowledge of paternity rights for a friend. if your ex-girlfriend is pregnant and engaged, and you are pretty sure you are the father and not her fiance, what legal rights do you have? they have now decided to push the marriage date up, and she refuses to tell her soon to be husband that there could be another father.
i am wondering if you wait till the child is born, and the baby is born in their marriage, will the baby have to be adopted if the baby is not his? or can you have a court ordered paternity test done before they get married?
thank you

Go see an attorney. Shortly after birth, petition the courts to have paternity established. Follow up with a petition to initiate child support AND visitation.
