if both parties in an uncontested divorce have pensions, can they keep them to themselves or do they have to be divided?

If it is uncontested, then you are basically agreeing, so therefore it is up to the 2 of you. If one of you wants to give ALL of your pension to the other, you can do that too. The judge doesn't care, unless you are fighting over it, then he will get involved and start splitting as he sees fit.............
