I have a 20 year old friend who was home schooled. She has not been allowed access to get a drivers license. Or go to college. She has been working where her mother works since age 16. She lives in a rural area. Her mother will not allow her to move out. She is adamant on moving out now her mother will not allow her to take any of her personnel possessions when she leaves. What rights does she have to her belongings she has purchased herself? btw she lives in Texas

Any items she purchased herself as an adult she will be allowed to take with her. Any items her parents purchased are theirs to keep.
