Prenup 2 days before wedding

What is the name of your state? Nebraska

I was married on April 16, 2005 (Saturday). Around 11p.m. on Thursday night, my father in law approached me with a stack of about 15 papers of legal jargon that he wanted me to sign (without having a lawyer's advice) he said he read it and it was ok. the purpose of the prenup was to protect the 660 some acres of riverground (valued around $750,000)my husband is purchasing through a loan from his grandmother. I have helped pay on this loan and have taken out a small loan of my own to help my now husband pay a land payment. Beyond the fact that I have helped pay on the land, I was told if i chose not to sign the prenup that my husband's father would ruin the wedding claiming he would stand up in the middle of the ceremony and refuse the wedding, he also said that a few of his friends looked it over and if I didn't sign, I obviously didn'tt love my husband. I helplessly complied and sought the advice of a lawyer 6 hours before my rehersal was to take place. The prenup was written by a lawyer in another town and we had to cross out at least three items in the contract including one that stated that we would sell the property (any properties owned prior to the marriage).
Do I have anything to worry about??
Please email me.

maybe, maybe not. All depends on the laws of your state regarding pre-nups, whether the agreement followed those laws, etc. Your lawyer is really the place to start. After you speak with your husband.

And "helplessly" signing it is moot - no one held a gun to your head, did they?

How can we answer that question without seeing the 15 pages of this pre nup? Did you consult with your fiance before you signed? Did you sign after consulting an attorney and amending the agreement? Do you have proof of your premarriage contributions to your husband's finances? Are you having marital problems now?
