prooving out of country marriage and social security death benefitWhat is the name of your state? Illinois My 84 year old cousin was married in Mexico and had the records concealed in 1957. Her husband died and she is trying to get the social security death benefit for him. They want her to proove marriage, she can't. They lived in California. Does she have any options? |

| What dio you mean by "had the records concealed"? Foreign vital records CAN be ordered from that country. My DH got a copy of his birth certificate from the country in which he was born. WE wrote to the Latvian consulaye to ask what was needed. I don't see why a legal record could not be obtained.
