What is the name of your state? Illinois
My husband and i have been married for 4 years, My husband has been very secretive we arent allowed to have joint checking accounts or credit cards or anything joint he says because it cna ruin our credit. Recently we bought a new car and because of my bad credit only he could be on the car, apparently while i have been paying for all the extra stuff he was making his credit good and isnt able to help me with mine. Anyways, my question is if the car is in his name is the car his or ours? he thinks because hes the only one on the paperwork that it is his car. When he gets angry with me he threatens to call the police on me if i touch the car. Can he do that ( call the police) or am i entiitled to the car after all i do pay half the car payment? He never lets me use the car either, do i need his permission to use the car or am i entitled to a set of keys of my own? I just want to know so he cant use this against me anymore, and if it is his car then am i obligated to pay for the car to?
Thank you
sorry so many questions
