Question about Wills???What is the name of your state? Indiana What do I need to do to make sure my daughter will stay with my husband and my son if something happens to me. (My husband is not her father. Her dad passed away a year ago.) My mom has told me that if something happens to me she plans to take my daughter if something happens to me. I do not want this to happen. Please help me. |

| That's easy, Since the biofather is deceased, just have your husband do a stepparent adoption. Then he IS the legal father. You need no one elses permission, Just the two of you and the court.

| Take a few bucks and have a will prepared with a guardianship clause for minor children. It may or may not hold up if contested but if you want to keep your SS$, I guess its worth a shot. Is the money so much that the future of the child having a living father for the remainder of her life and his name worth it? |
