Quit Claim

Washington State

My ex never filed a quit claim deed on our house when we divorced. Now due to lack of child support , I am in danger of losing the house to foreclosure. Can I file a quit claim and dump it on his lap?

The quit claim is between you and your ex. The mtg company doesn't care about the court orders between the two of you, they are only concerned with the contract that both of you signed with them. Simply, they want their money. Anyway to save the home? BK? Debt consolidation? Have you filed a motion to show cause/contempt for him not providing for his children?
